Meeting Of The Gods - Changó* - Honey Is Sweeter Than Blood (Vinyl, LP, Album)

 · For Chango´s second album, Honey Is Sweeter Than Blood apparently lead singer Pepe Gomez changed all the members except one, changed label to Mercury and went to soul-rock. The album is a little harder and less Latin than their first one/5(16).

 · Honey Is Sweeter Than Blood, an Album by Changó. Released in on Mercury (catalog no. SRM; Vinyl LP). Genres: Latin Rock, /5(6).

Fortunately the Akarma record company has done us all a favor by releasing this on CD and an exact gatefold LP. For Chango's second album, Honey is Sweeter Than Blood apparently lead singer Pepe Gomez got too big for his britches and tossed all the members except one, changed labels to Mercury and went soul-pop.

 · Album: Honey Is Sweeter Than Blood () (Reissue ) Genre: Prog Rock (Latin Rock/Hard Rock/Soul) / USA They sound like Santana many times but Tony Jasper writes in his "Hardrock and Metal Encyclopedia" the Rock tracks are excellent. I've never heard such an understatement. The song "Meeting of the Gods" is a killer in every sense.

  1. Another solid album by this Santana clone band. For Chango´s second album, Honey Is Sweeter Than Blood apparently lead singer Pepe Gomez changed all the members except one, changed label to Mercury and went to soul-rock. The album is a little harder and less Latin than their first one. The perfect voice, the guitars screams and the singer agrees with his shrieks as he´s getting murdered.

  2. I bought it because though never hearing of Chango I liked the title and the cover art of the LP. I still have the original LP I bought in but I am so thankful that a CD of "Honey Is Sweeter Than Blood" is now available. I have Chango's first CD as well and though that too is an excellent CD I can say truthfully that this CD is better/5(5).
